HRP-HRMFFA

Two Regional not-for-profit public service organizations seek shared services of the following positions:

Office Manager, seeking experienced, energetic, self-starter.  This is a full-time position. Responsibilities include:

Office Coordination

  • General oversight of office operations, including acting as liaison between office and building management
  • Supervise part-time receptionist and back-up this position when receptionist is not in the office
  • Parking coordinator

Finance & Accounting

  • Accounts payable/receivable
  • Bank statement reconciliation
  • General Ledger
  • Monthly financial reports
  • Grant administration (Grants.gov and ASAP)
  • Prepare budget; prepare budget requests to local governments
  • Principal contact with auditors, payroll providers and accounting services provider

Human Resources

  • Prepare and maintain personnel and payroll files
  • Benefits coordinator
  • Help develop and maintain Company’s Employee Manual

The ideal candidate will possess the following credentials:

  • Minimum of five years administrative experience
  • Minimum of five years living in the Hampton Roads region
  • Pleasant demeanor and ability to communicate effectively with senior government officials and business leaders
  • Proficiency in the complete suite of Microsoft Office applications and Quickbooks
  • Experience with Grants.gov and ASAP extremely helpful

Receptionist, seeking experienced energetic, self-starter. Position will be responsible for the following:

  • Phone and office reception;
  • Maintain common areas of the office (lobby, conference rooms, kitchen);
  • Responsible for office mail, maintain and order supplies, oversee office equipment;
  • Schedule coordination and management for two Executives;
  • Schedule and prepare for meetings; and
  • Administrative support for staff members as necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess the following credentials:

  • Minimum of two years administrative experience;
  • Minimum of two years living in the Hampton Roads region;
  • Pleasant demeanor and ability to communicate effectively with government officials and business leaders; and
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.

This position is part-time (32 hours per week) and does not include benefits. Parking is provided.

HREDA

The Hampton Roads Economic Development Alliance (HREDA, http://HREDA.com) is a non-profit, public-private partnership committed to the promotion of Virginia's Hampton Roads as the preferred location for business investment and expansion. All HREDA business attraction initiatives and activities are designed to promote the jurisdictions of Chesapeake, Franklin, Gloucester County, Hampton, Isle of Wight County, James City County, Newport News, Norfolk, Poquoson, Portsmouth, Southampton County, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg and York County, Virginia.

The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC) is a regional planning agency representing the interests of the 1.7 million residents in the ten cities and six counties of Hampton Roads. (EOE) Positions are posted at http://HRPDCVA.gov
